Book Bicycle Parking
about this project
In 2013, I worked on a special project for NS Stations: a book about bicycle parking at stations. It not only mapped out the problems but also outlined a vision for the future. A future in which guarded parking facilities would become the norm and cyclists would be able to park for free for the first 24 hours.
From vision to design
For this book, I designed the graphic design, developed the content, and compiled it. I also handled the planning and worked closely with a copywriter and photographer. My work included scheduling interviews, photography, designing figures, tables, and graphs, and overseeing the printing process. All of this was done in collaboration with a close-knit team from NS Stations.
A future that became reality
It's wonderful to see that this vision has now become a reality at many stations. Bicycle parking has improved significantly in recent years, with more spacious, well-organized parking facilities and better amenities. A great project to look back on in Grafisch in Vorm's 15 years!
