Quooker installation and service drawings

Quooker

Installation and service drawings

Graphic system for manuals, brochures and training courses

about this project

Since 2020, I've been working for Quooker on the technical installation and service drawings used worldwide in manuals, dealer brochures, and training materials. What started with individual illustrations for each installation type has evolved into a single, intelligently designed Adobe Illustrator system that can manage all variations.

Structure and composition

The strength of this system lies in its technical structure and logical layout. All components—from Pro3, Combi, and Combi boilers to the Cube for cold and sparkling water, including filters, pressure filters, shut-off valves, copper pipes, and country-specific connections—are combined in a single Illustrator file with a comprehensive layer structure.

This allows Quooker's graphic design studio to easily activate the correct layers and export the desired configuration without having to redraw each time. This efficient and error-free way of working saves time and ensures consistency across all publications.

Efficiency in practice

Manuals, service instructions, and dealer brochures are compiled from the same source system, ensuring all visuals are technically and visually consistent. The existing exploded views are integrated into the structure and remain clear and recognizable for installers and service technicians.

New style and result

In the latest phase, the look and feel have been further refined: with cleaner lines, improved readability, and a modern, clean style. The illustrations now align even more seamlessly with Quooker's corporate identity and international communications.

I'm working on this project from my own studio and regularly at Quooker's headquarters in Ridderkerk — a collaboration where technical precision and graphic clarity converge.
